Pamela Grace Yang Rawden was born in Jinan, China, where she was raised in an orphanage until she was adopted at age eleven and brought to the United States. Rawden received her BFA in Studio Art at Columbus State University in Columbus,

GA and an MFA from SUNY Albany. Rawden currently resides in Albany, NY, where she has her practice.  

Rawden has been in numerous exhibitions in galleries and art centers throughout Georgia and New York and has also received various awards and grants, including the Thayer Fellowship from the State University of New York. After recently completing her MFA at SUNY Albany, Rawden has been awarded a full scholarship to Arts Letters and Numbers residency in New York.
